It's My Own Invention (English, 2017): Close-Up Cinema, 7.30pm

Close-Up Cinema introduction:
It’s My Own Invention is a film portrait of Hugh de la Cruz, who for the last two decades has been compulsively obsessed with the perfection of a perpetual motion machine. Hugh calls it “My Invention” and frequently becomes agitated and impatient about its progress. Nobody will listen to him and if the machine is ever made, the powers that be will certainly want to sabotage it, as “The Invention” will render conventional sources of energy obsolete. With a soundtrack by Dan WilsonIt’s My Own Invention is an extraordinary film from filmmaker and Resonance broadcaster William English.

All proceeds from the event go directly towards Resonance FM’s spring fundraiser.
