First released in 1919, this silent film is noteworthy as one of the first sympathetic portrayals of homosexuals in the cinema. For decades all copies were thought to have been destroyed during the Nazi regime. Accompanied by a new short documentary about artist Sara Davidmann’s project Ken. To Be Destroyed - exploring the family secret of a transgender relative.
